About Jenny

The Happy Hound owner, Jenny Turnbull, has always had dogs in her life and is a true dog lover and advocate. Jenny supports various local rescues, is a member of Best Friends Animal Society, SPCA and The Humane Society. Jenny also supports the rescue community in the mission for no more homeless pets and the fundamental importance to spay/neuter. Jenny has completed both basic obedience & advanced training classes with her own dog and certified in Pet CPR/First Aid. Jenny also enjoys studying dog behavior and appreciates the individual personalities of each dog.

Jenny's inspiration for The Happy Hound was based solely on her love for dogs and the decision to offer the care she was seeking for her own dog. Providing loving care for furry family members is what makes her happy. Jenny and her husband, Ryan, live in Manhattan Beach with their Westie, Enzo.

The Happy Hound supports and practices Positive Reinforcement Training.

About Tatiana

As a child, Tatiana proclaimed she would become a veterinarian one day. Although that dream was replaced by her current major, Speech-Language Pathology, her fueled love for animals has never dissipated. Tatiana, shown above with her sweet teacup poodle, Mimi, and her liver-spotted Dalmation, Belina, spends most of her free time studying and snuggling with her pups and Kitty, She-ra. Tatiana has experience with special needs clients, as her little Mimi is blind. Tatiana has been a South Bay resident her entire life. She has joined The Happy Hound to provide your furry loved ones with TLC during Overnights as well as refreshing walks.

About Melissa

Melissa's love for dogs developed while growing up with 3 pups, who quickly became just as close to her as her own siblings, and who were a part of her family for many years.  Melissa has been a South Bay resident for 6 years and is currently living in beautiful Hermosa Beach. Melissa loves to be outdoors with our canine clients, playing volleyball or spending time at home with her two cats, Tiger and Kitty.  She has joined the Happy Hound to provide love and overnight care for your special friend, when you can’t be there yourself.  Melissa is shown here spending the afternoon with our youngest client, Chloe.

About Christina

To Christina, a dog isn't just a pet, they're a family member. You're not a "dog or cat owner" but a mommy and daddy. Although Christina recently lost her pug, Billy, to an illness, he's still in her heart, close as ever. Camping trips, beach days, dog park afternoons, and even family get-togethers, Billy was always included. He even slept in the bed, under the covers with Mom & Dad. Christina is now a proud mommy of two awesome and very cantankerous kitties, Mombi and Mustachio. Christina is excited to share her love and nurturing character with your pups and always looks forward to snuggling up to your babies, when you have to be away. She has been a South Bay resident her whole life and has joined The Happy Hound because she is committed to provide your four-legged children with the same care and attention she would her own!

Walks Make Happy Hounds!

Daily walks are essential to fulfilling a dog's basic needs ~ keeping them happy & content. A simple daily walk provides your dog with the interaction, positive attention, exercise and mental stimulation a happy pooch needs. Regular exercise can even help with many behavior problems that are the result of isolation and boredom. Loving owners depend on us during the week, when time is most limited, or over vacations & business trips. Private Walks (no groups) allow us to provide the one on one care & attention your pooch deserves. It’s a time to explore, exercise & get some well deserved belly rubs. We look forward to spending time with your pooch & you can look forward to returning to a happy companion!
